Modelling the bottom contours of a clover bowl in 3D has been difficult. Lately the technology has matured to the point where no photoshop is required. This bowl will be built in a neighborhood plaza on the outskirts of Guatemala City.

I was influenced in this design by the work of Esteban Chartrand, my favorite Cuban landscape painter. Also, as always, by the literary genius of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Here’s a double funnel with the back side widened to create direct speed lines for looping. Also a window in the ceiling.

This is Nederland, CO, USA, a park I designed back in the day. I found this foto of Gavo looping the cradle, and I think its sooo sick, a perfect example of what people can do when cradles have proper loop lines designed into them.

It’s important to provide a fun area for beginner riders to roll around and progress.

I am in Alberton, MT, USA, building a park for Evergreen which includes a bowl for Jeff, who spearheads Montana Pool Service and raises vast sums to build public parks in Montana. So I drew a few alternatives for the bowl which preserve the outline but tweak the waterfall. Feel free to add a comment saying which you prefer, and why. Click on the photos to enlarge them.
